To program your Mach-E’s garage door, go to the vehicle’s menu, select the garage door opener setting, and then follow the on-screen instructions to reprogram the feature.

I’ve got a Mach-E with an overhead garage door opener button on the roof console, which has been functioning well. But in the last two days, I noticed it stopped abruptly. I pressed the button several times, all to no avail. I checked the range of my Mach-E and the garage door opener, but there was no signal obstruction. I also checked to see if the batteries were still good. Since everything seemed fine, I erased my HomeLink buttons by pressing the “clear the Garage Door opener” button and reprogrammed the garage door opener. With the garage door opener reprogrammed, I tried opening the door again; to my relief, it opened smoothly.

In this article, I’ll walk you through configuring your Mach-E garage door opener and troubleshooting steps to ensure a smooth setup.
